The Stone Age is based partially upon man’s belief in evolution. The time periods given are somewhat of a compromise between Biblical history and secular archeological thought. The dates given for Biblical events comes from giving the exodus a 1440 b.c. date and working from there. I used the time period 400 years from Acts 7:6 as approximate and to include both the period of slavery and the period of time that Joseph and his family lived in Egypt. Scofield’s reference Bible which begins with Abraham being born around 1950 b.c. Thieme places Abram’s birth as early as 2166 b.c. The dates given for Egypt and other historical events come from The Bible Almanac.
