A. The bride is a title for the royal family in resurrection body. On earth the royal family is called “the body.” The royal family is formed on earth during the Church Age, Eph 1:22-23, 2:16, 4:4-5, 5:23; Col 1:18, 24,
2:19. The body is formed by salvation through the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
B. When the body is completed, the Rapture takes the royal family to heaven, in order to be prepared for the Second Advent, 1 Thes 4:16-18; 1 Cor 15:51-57. Col 2:15 cf Rev 19:6-5, and Zech 13:2 tells us that the number of members of the royal family will be equal to fallen angels operational today.
C. During the Tribulation, the Bride is prepared in heaven.
1. The believer gets a resurrection body exactly like Christ’s, 1 Cor 15:51-57; Phil 3:21; 1 Jn 3:1-2.
2. The bride is cleansed form all human good, 1 Cor 3:12, 15.
3. The old sin nature is removed.
4. The royal family will never enter the lake of fire.
D. At the Second Advent, the royal family returns with Jesus Christ along with the elect angels, and the Old Testament believers and tribulational martyrs, who receive their resurrection bodies at that time.
E. Our return is related to operation footstool, Ps 110:1.
1. There is a triumphal procession, Col 2:15.
2. Satan is imprisoned, Rev 20:1-3.
3. The royal family casts demons into prison, Zech 13:2; Col 2:15 cf 1 Cor 15:24-25.
F. The coronation of the Lord under His third royal patent as battlefield royalty comes next, Rev 19:6.
G. Then follows a wedding banquet of Christ, Rev 19:9. The marriage occurs in heaven; the wedding banquet takes place on earth, Mt 25:1-13.
