Clinton Ducks Sniper Fire

Hillary Clinton claims that she came into Bosnia in 1996 to sniper fire. The implication was, this was too dangerous for the president himself, so he sent his wife and daughter instead (so Dick Morris said on FoxNews, smiling).

Now, on Friday, HIllary Clinton spoke of a recent poll in response the Lehey saying that she should get out of the race. She said, "22% of the people want me to get out of the race, 22% of the people want Obama to get out of the race and 62% want this to continue." Now, that is an obvious misstatement; she obviously misspoke or she had incorrect information. However, when it comes to being under sniper fire, that is not misspeaking or getting some minor facts wrong. Senator Clinton has never ever been under sniper fire, and had she been under sniper fire, she would have known it and remembered many precise details. Her saying that she was under sniper fire in Bosnia was an intentional misrepresntation of the facts; let me just lay it on the line, she flat-out lied about what happened. In the past, the press would have covered for her, but they are no longer doing so. They are covering for Obama now.

False Arguments re: Barrack and the Rev

There are a number of false rebuttal arguments which have been forth by Obama supporters with regards to his relationship to the Reverend Jeremy Wright:

1)These are but 5 or 6 statements put in an endless loop; what would happen if the 5 stupidest things which you said were put in an endless loop in the same way?

These are public statements made by a public speaker whom, I assume, prepares his lessons prior to teaching them. These sermons are available on www.youtube.com. Go back and listen to the words and watch Wright’s congregation. When he makes an outrageous statement of hatred, his congregation is enthusiastic about it. They don’t looked shocked. They don’t look like he suddenly said something really stupid. They are jumping up and down and cheerful glee. Furthermore, these sermons are available on DVD from the Trinity Church of Christ; if these statements are so outrageous, why does this church make this stuff available.

2)These are comments taken out of context; we need to hear the entire sermon in order to make a fair judgment of what Reverend Wright has to say.

I have watched one of Wright’s sermons from beginning to end, in the middle of which, he makes one of these vicious statements of hatred. These sermons can be found in their entirety of www.youtube.com as well. Now, what we see in the snippets are certainly the most outrageous comments of the sermon, but these are statements which are not taken out of context. Wright does not say, “Hey, this is opposite day; what I am about to say is the opposite of what I believe.”

3)                                                                                                                Jeremy Wright has been teaching 3 times a week for over 30 years. Sure there are going to be some odd quotes here and there.

Listen to me carefully here: do you think any human being sat down and listened to all of Wright’s nearly 5000 hours of sermons in order to just find these few statements? In order to hear that many hours, some one would have had to listen non-step, day and night, for over half a year to listen to every sermon in order to find these few statements. Do you think anyone has done this? Finding these statements apparently was not difficult for those who found them. I will guarantee you that NO ONE sat down and listened to these 5000 hours or so in order to find a handful of goofy statements.

4)          Obama was not in church for these statements; he did not read the bulletin; he had no idea what was being taught in that church.

This is an argument which Obama himself makes. He is lying. In fact, Obama has been all over the map when it comes to explaining his 20 year association with this church. Anderson Cooper did ask Obama some good questions; but listen to Obama’s answers:

What is taught at this church is known as Black Liberation Theology. This is not taught in every Black church, but it is taught in some of them. This is a well-known theology among Blacks who go to church and have tried more than 2 or 3 churches. You cannot walk into a church which teaches Black Liberation Theology and think that you have just wandered into a particularly vigorous and emotional sermon, just like is found in any Black church. Anyone who knows even a smattering of theology—even if all they know is, Jesus Christ has died for the sins of all mankind (all colors) and that His death on the cross is necessary for our salvation—what is taught in a Black Liberation Theology church is a whole different gospel.

Black Liberation Theology is a movement and they agree philosophically with American Black Muslims in most points. They may preach Jesus, but their Jesus is a Black man who was oppressed by rich white men.

Now, Obama acts like he missed much of this teaching, but I have heard him explain some of the viewpoints of Black Liberation Theology. Now, how can someone who was unaware of what his own church taught after 20 years, suddenly, in the matter of a few days, be able to explain and justify the teachings of his church? I have listened to these explanations myself, but I admit I am having a difficult time finding Obama’s speeches where he explains away his church and its theology.

5)          The hatred found in Wright’s church is not a part of Obama and his vision for our country.

I have no idea. How can a man as smart as Obama is have no clue as to what is being taught in his church? How can he miss the hatred, the anti-White bias, the anger which is vented against the United States and against rich white men. How does he miss this? Or, how does he hear a few controversial statements, and decide, “Naw, I think I am going to stay here a few more years.” If my church talked about any racial group in this same way, even if I just heard it twice, I’d be gone. If I heard my church condemn America in such vicious terms, I’d be gone. I do not share these values. In listening to what Michelle Obama has said, it sounds like she has picked up some of the values taught in this church. But Obama himself is ignorant of these things?

Obama’s Hypocrisy

During the Don Imus controversy, where Imus referred off-handedly to the Rutger’s females basketball players as nappy-headed hoes. Now, I have listened to Imus saying this in context and, quite frankly, he was just an old white guy trying to sound cool. I’ve done the same thing once, when I told a kid in class, “Get your nappy head over here and sit down.” I said this at least 6 or 7 years ago, and had heard the terminology used by Blacks, and it was just me, an old white guy, trying to sound cool. The kids laughed, he sat down, and that was it.

Imus made this remark and Obama was interviewed, and he said, “I don’t think that MSNBC should be carrying those kinds of racist remarks...That guy wouldn’t be workin’ for me.”

But, of Jeremy Wright he says, “I can no more disown him than I could disown my white grandmother.”

Foreclosure Crisis

On one of the early Sunday Morning shows, I watch John Kyl and Chuck Shumer argue the economy and what we should and should not be doing. Kyl said, the mortgage foreclosure problem was because a Democratic Congress took power and then required mortgage companies to give loans to people without them being qualified and often at no-money down (Bush, to his detriment, apparently did sign this).

Chuck's response was, Bush is trying to solve too much with tax cuts. He did not respond directly to Kyl's point, because he could not.

Over and over again, these mortgage defaults are portrayed as some family which suddenly had its interest rate increased by the evil lender. I even heard someone give the nonsensical figures that you cannot pay your mortgage if it jumps from $1000/month to $3500 a month (these loans typically have yearly interest rate caps and life of the loan caps).

Here are where these mortgage loan defaults are coming from:

1) Investors/speculators who have decided to let some of their properties go because they are "upside down in their mortgage." They bought a house/condo in a market which is rising quickly (like California or Florida), and suddenly, the market corrects itself and starts to drop (a market correction has to happen at some point in markets like these). Speculators often get variable interest rate loans because they do not plan to hold onto a property for more than a year or two.

2) People who are unqualified in the first place to have a loan and have no sense of financial responsibility. I have looked at hundreds of credit reports in my business, and there are high correlations between specific credit scores and race, like it or not. If a particular person typically walks away from utility bills, cell phone bills, etc., then why does anyone in their right mind think they are going to act responsibly when the government, for all intents and purposes, gives them a house at no money down?

3) Regular folks who have good credit and are losing their home for some financial reason.

What you have NEVER seen is, a news story which lists these different kinds of people and gives you the percentages of them. Our newspapers and most of our television stations are invested in a bad economy just as they are invested in a bad outcome in Iraq. This is why they print story after story about the bad economy and we consumers swallow it hook line and sinker.

The last time the economy was this "bad" was the first year that Clinton was elected over Bush the elder. The public opinion overwhelmingly thought the economy was in the tank. Clinton was elected. That quarter in which Clinton was elected—when our economy was suffering greatly and needed change—our economy grew by 4.7%. Not only are we sheep, but we are stupid sheep.

Arrest Rush for Voter Fraud

You may or may not be aware of “Operation Chaos,” perpetrated by Rush Limbaugh. In Texas and Ohio, he suggested that Republican voters cross over to the other side and vote for Clinton. This was my plan originally because I would rather that Clinton was president rather than Obama, if a Democrat is elected. Rush’s thoughts were, the longer Clinton and Obama are out there as potential Democratic candidates, the more chaos which will ensue. Also, the more than we will find out about these two candidates.

I believe that it was Ohio where they began to question the legality of what Rush was doing, and it has been suggested that he was urging others to break the law, and thereby breaking the law himself.

There is a problem here. Obama called me twice, his wife called me once, and his minions called me 3 times urging me to vote for him. They contacted me about a dozen times to vote for him. In Pennsylvania, he is apparently running ads explaining to Republicans how to switch over and vote for him in the primary (I have not personally seen any of these ads).

The upshot of this is, if Rush is breaking the law, then Obama is breaking the law as well.

The have been alternative approaches suggested: one of these is loyalty oaths to be signed prior to voting for someone of your previous party. These are the same people who gave us hate legislation; they do not want to just control you, but they want to prosecute you for thinking the wrong way. The key here, is they desperately want to find some way to be able to check your motivation when you vote for them; and to somehow make it punishable to not have the proper motivation. These people are not just crazy; they are dangerous-crazy.

What Are You Proud of?

One of Rush’s Best Rants

RUSH: I want to continue this discussion about oil and alternative fuel sources and so forth and the whole notion of a free market, and entrepreneurism, and zero-sum games. Way too many of you, because of the effort to demonize oil -- not just because of the mistaken notion that our purchases of oil are funding terrorism. That's ridiculous. Terrorists are not using oil revenues to be funded. Even that aside, oil has been successfully demonized in this country to the point that otherwise intelligent, educated people think we can just get rid of it tomorrow. They're operating under the assumption that there is an alternative energy already out there, "We just refuse to use it," because Big Oil and Big Lobbyists and Big Republicans are keeping us from this alternative energy. Let me tell you. Look at me, folks. Look at me. The only alternative energy that we have right now or for the next 20 or 30 years, is the energy we refuse to drill for in ANWR: oil. The only alternative energy we have for the next 20 or 30 years is oil in the Gulf of Mexico that we refuse to drill for but the ChiComs and the Cubans are drilling for it in the Gulf, and the Mexicans are. We did lay claim to a huge field up in the Arctic Circle recently.

But the liberal Democrats will not let our country pursue this alternative energy. They will not let us drill for it; they will not let us refine it. They will not allow it to happen. Above and beyond that, this zero-sum game aspect, the idea that we can just get rid of oil tomorrow or next year or five years from now, and replace it with something that's just as productive, efficient, and economical is absurd. It is just intellectually absurd. So is the notion that oil is evil. So is the notion that it has been so demonized. Oil is not evil. Oil is our friend. It is one of our best friends. It is one of our most valuable friends. But above and beyond that, can I ask you a question or two? As Americans, what, today, are you proud of in your country? Are you proud of our insurance industry? I bet not. It's been demonized. People hate insurance agents, hate insurance companies, and think they're a bunch of crooks.

How about our financial institutions -- Wall Street, your bank, your savings and loan, your credit union -- are you proud of that? No. It has been demonized, too. They're just a bumbling of crooks. They don't care about you. How about our automobile industry? Are you proud of the automobile industry? No, you're not proud of it. They're getting skunked by the Japanese. Besides, they make products that use oil! And they make products that are destroying the world! "Hell no, we hate the auto industry." Are you proud of your pharmaceutical industry? Hell no! You're not proud of the people that rape you at the drugstores with these exorbitant drug prices when you think you can get 'em cheaper from Canada. You know they're running ads on TV for all these different drugs. They're just trying to get you to go to the doctor and get some. They don't care about curing you. They don't care about making you better. They just want to soak you. Let's see, are you proud of the US Military?

No, you're not proud of the US military. The military kills babies and innocent civilians! The US military tortures people at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay. (I know because John McCain tells us so, along with the liberal Democrats.) Uh, let's see. Are you proud of anything? Are you proud of the home building industry? No. You hate the home industry, because they build cheap stuff and they overcharge you for it, and it doesn't work, and you can't end up paying for it. No! You're not proud of it. Are you proud of the airline industry? Hell no! You're not proud of the airline industry. Hell, you hate flying. No peanuts anymore. You're sardined in the seats and the planes are always late, they're never on time, you can't get where you're going comfortably when you want to get there. Let's see. Do you like government? "Oh, yes! Oh, yes! Government cares for me. Government loves me. Government wants me to have health care, that they don't have to pay for, and government wants me to be safe from storms, and government wants me to not have to pay taxes.

"Government only wants the rich to pay taxes. Oh, we love government. We are really proud of our government in America." Let's see. Are you proud of the retailing industry? "No! We hate Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart why, they're mean to unions. We love unions. We are really proud of our unions in America. But we hate Wal-Mart, and we hate Kmart, and we hate the malls." Let's see... Are you proud of our schools? "Well, we're proud of the public education system." Are you proud your kids aren't learning anything? "Well, we're trying, but we need more money for our public schools. If we just had more money, then we could be proud of our public school system." Let's see. Are you proud of the shipping industry, FedEx, UPS, oceangoing vessels? "No! They pollute. They don't get my packages here on time, and they're just out to shaft me. They're just a bunch of crooks just like the people on Wall Street, just like the people at the banks. But we love our government."

Now, this is an illustration. I just asked you: What in this country are you proud of, versus 30, 40 years ago what we were proud of? We were proud of all of this. We were puffed up with pride about all of this! We were proud of our achievements. We were proud of our accomplishments. We were appreciative of our freedom. But now look at what they've made us hate. Look at what they've made us detest. Look at the absolute BS that they have more and more educated people believing -- that, oil is just a conspiracy, that there is a replacement. "There's alternative fuels out there, but they don't want to release 'em because Big Oil and big Republicans and Halliburton, Cheney, Bush. They're all in a conspiracy to keep it from threatening their own investments in oil." Is it not shocking, ladies and gentlemen, to realize just how few educated Americans understand how the world works? More than that, isn't it scary to understand how few educated Americans understand how their own country works?

Forget the world. But we love our government, and we love our politicians, and we love a small portion of the media: the Drive-Bys. In fact, do we like our churches? "Nope. Those damn priests. Look what they're doing with those little boys! We hate the pope! The pope, why, the pope is restrictive. The pope is unbending. He's not tolerant." Yet, we are supposed to "understand" the Reverend Jeremiah Wright and people like him. "Oh, we are proud of the porn industry. We wait for the porn industry to decide whether the Blu-ray or HD DVD format war is going to be won. We love the porn industry, and we really, really, really want to do what we can to protect everybody's freedom to engage in these kind of private things in their homes. We love the porn industry. We love government. We like many of our politicians because they care about us, Mr. Limbaugh, unlike you! They care about us. They want us to have health care, Mr. Limbaugh." What are you proud of about your country anymore? I really think you ought to take some time to think about it.

Because I maintain to you, if you have any agreement with things that I have exaggerated here -- if you do hate the automobile industry, if you hate Wall Street, if you hate the banks, if you hate the financial industry, if you hate the airline industry, if you hate the pharmaceutical industry, if you hate retail -- if you have resentments for all these industries, and think that your only protection is government -- then you really, really need to grab yourself by the wrist as hard as you can and ask yourself, "What the hell happened to you and who made you feel this way?" The one area of the media that people respect and like in conjunction with American liberals and socialists has made you feel this way. You hate oil? Is it rational? What the hell, folks? "That's right, Mr. Limbaugh! It's five dollars in California, four dollars elsewhere, three dollars other places. It's not right. Somebody's gouging us." Wait a minute! I thought you guys were all hoping for high prices down the road so it would lead to conservation? You can't make liberals happy no matter what they get. Even if it's what they want, it's never enough. There's a political party, and its allies who feed off of your paranoia, feed off of your hatred for all things great in America.

They feed off of your rage that they have made you believe, things like: "You are getting shafted by everybody else, and only government can protect you and make these wrongs right." You need to get hold of yourselves, take a look around your great country, and ask yourself why you're no longer proud of it when you used to be. 'Cause there's no reason for anybody not to be proud of this country. You all live here. You all are seeking your best performance, opportunity, because you know your country provides it. Yet some of you -- not you people. I know you people are not of this mindset. But so many Americans seem to be, and so they're trying to do something positive while feeling absolutely enraged all the time. Hatred for America is real. You've seen it. You've heard it. You've read it. It's out there, and it's in larger numbers than you know. And the people who hate this country are the genuine mind-numbed robots. They have been talked into it with years and years and years of propaganda. Just ask yourself, when you have a free moment -- maybe bring it up at dinner if you have a family still eats together now and then. Ask them, "What are you proud of in America?" Don't lead 'em anywhere. Just say, "What are proud of, when you think about America. What are you proud of?" and then deal with what you get. It will be interesting.

Rush on Oil

RUSH: We always are thinking to the future. The United States is not mired in the past, we are thinking of the future, and some of us (gasping) are trying to save this country's future from people who want to limit its growth and perhaps destroy it as we've known it! And two people come to mind who will do that, Obama and Hillary, and there's maybe a third running who would contribute a little bit, and it really bothers us!

RUSH: May I have your attention please, folks, on the business of alternative fuels? Look at me. Look-k-k at me. The United States is not a zero-sum game. Meaning when somebody gets hired, it does not mean somebody gets fired. Meaning when somebody earns an additional five dollars, somebody has lost an additional five dollars. It doesn't mean that it's either oil or else. The whole concept of the United States, the capitalist system, is the free market -- and the free market is fueled by freedom! Freedom leads to ingenuity, invention, entrepreneurism, and what is the pursuit? The pursuit is profit. The profit derives from success. Now, there's some charlatans in our free market. The people in carbon offset businesses are sharks. They are pure frauds! They are convincing people to pay them X-amount of dollars for whatever, to plant trees, to soak up the additional carbon footprint of what is "allowed." Allowed by who? Who says that there is a maximum carbon footprint? There is no such law, there is no such standard, because we have freedom!

If you want to have a 30,000-square-foot house and a big-ass swimming pool and a bunch of outdoor lights and you can afford it and you pay for it, and there are people that provide it. End of story. You are not guilty! You are not guilty. No, you are not. Just because somebody else doesn't have a 30,000-square-foot house, doesn't have a big-ass swimming pool and outdoor lights, doesn't mean they're innocent and you are guilty. As this relates to alternative fuels, oil is the most plentiful energy source we have. It's the most efficient. But while oil is being used, and while it is being exploited, the United States taxpayer, ladies and gentlemen, already spends billions of dollars on alternative energy research -- and you can bet that the private sector is investing in it, too, and do you know why? Because we are a growing country and everybody needs energy! We're not going to stay the United States if we start reducing energy usage. Conservation is not the answer. So because a free market's percolating and gurgling and burbling out there, somewhere in this mix will come the magical alternative fuel source. It may not be for a hundred years, it may not be for 50, but it will happen, and it will happen all by itself...if we stay free.

RUSH: Oil is not the enemy. We can peacefully co-exist with oil while looking for the miracle alternative fuel source that everybody wants, but we're going to have to do that while using oil. Oil is not the enemy, folks. It's our buddy.
